Heffron installed (3) – 3,000 ton Chillers while the plant was in full operation. The 9,000 tons additional capacity was a mission critical undertaking, primarily because the Hospital and Campus had to function 100% and any mishaps or forced shut downs would have been catastrophic.
The project was delivered on-time, under budget, and nationally acclaimed. The Washington Building Congress Star Award was presented for “Complexity and Achievement in 2004.
